About Vanessa Mariscal, MPAP, PA-C

Vanessa Mariscal, MPAP, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant specializing in medical and general dermatology. She is passionate about providing personalized, comprehensive care and helping patients achieve healthier skin through a thoughtful approach tailored to their individual needs and goals.

Vanessa earned her Bachelor of Science in Public Health from California State University, Los Angeles, graduating cum laude in 2019. She went on to earn her Master of Physician Assistant Practice from the Primary Care Physician Assistant Program at the Keck School of Medicine of USC in 2023.

Her clinical interests include medical and procedural dermatology, acne, preventive skin health, and integrative dermatology. Vanessa has a particular interest in taking a holistic approach to skin health, considering both internal and external factors that may contribute to dermatologic concerns. She also has a background in aesthetic dermatology and enjoys incorporating appropriate procedures into treatment plans to help patients feel healthy and confident in their skin.

Vanessa provides care for a wide range of dermatologic conditions, including acne, contact dermatitis, excessive sweating, hair loss, psoriasis, rosacea, and other common skin concerns. She also performs skin cancer screenings and emphasizes the importance of prevention, early detection, and ongoing skin health.

At the heart of Vanessa’s patient care philosophy is listening. She takes the time to understand each patient’s concerns, lifestyle, and goals before developing an individualized treatment plan. By combining evidence-based medicine with a thoughtful, holistic approach, she strives to create an environment where patients feel comfortable asking questions, heard throughout their care, and confident in their treatment plan. Vanessa is committed to lifelong learning and looks forward to continuing to expand her dermatologic expertise while building meaningful, lasting relationships with her patients.

Outside of the office, Vanessa enjoys traveling, exploring new places, and trying new restaurants. She also values spending quality time with her family and friends.
