After graduation, Dr. Chen spent a year at the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena conducting basic science research. He then earned his M.D. degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Following residency and board certification, Dr. Chen spent eight years caring for patients in Denison, Texas a small town surrounded by rural communities in North Texas.
