About Dr. Athalye A Leela

Dr. Leela Athalye is a board-certified dermatologist with a passion for providing exceptional medical and cosmetic dermatology care to patients of all ages and skin types. She completed her undergraduate studies at UCLA, earned her medical degree from Michigan State University, and completed her residency training at Western University.

Dr. Athalye is dedicated to addressing a wide range of skincare concerns, from enhancing self-esteem through cosmetic treatments to advocating for cancer screening and early detection. She takes pride in diagnosing and treating skin cancer, empowering her patients with knowledge and care that improves their health and confidence. In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Athalye is an active volunteer for hereditary cancer charities and works to increase awareness of World Ovarian Cancer Day.

Committed to accessibility, Dr. Athalye primarily works on Saturdays to provide patients with the flexibility to receive care without disrupting their work schedules. Since joining Island Dermatology in 2012, she has been dedicated to ensuring every patient has a positive and supportive experience.

In her free time, Dr. Athalye enjoys traveling, learning French, reading, and dancing. She is also active on social media, using platforms like TikTok and Instagram (@dr.derm.love) to educate and connect with people about skincare and health.
