About Elizabeth Cortes, PA-C

Elizabeth Cortes is a dedicated and compassionate Physician Associate with expertise in skin cancer diagnosis and treatment, excisions, psoriasis, eczema, and injectable neurotoxins. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from San Diego State University and completed her advanced training at Western Michigan University, where she obtained her Master of Medical Science degree in Physician Associate Studies.

Elizabeth’s journey in dermatology began in 2015 when she joined Island Dermatology as a medical assistant. This pivotal experience ignited her deep passion for dermatology and confirmed her career path. After completing her Physician Associate program, she was honored to return to Island Dermatology to continue serving patients. With over seven years of experience in the field, Elizabeth remains inspired by the ever-evolving world of dermatology and is committed to providing exceptional care to her patients.

Her patient care philosophy focuses on creating a welcoming environment where patients feel happy, comfortable, and confident in their skin. Elizabeth is dedicated to building strong relationships with her patients and delivering personalized treatments to meet their unique needs.

Outside of work, Elizabeth enjoys traveling, hiking, interior design, and spending quality time with her husband, their dog, and their newborn daughter, born in July 2024.
